SINGULIER Petit Verdo 2021
Vignobles Latorseという生産者が造ったプティ・ヴェルド100％の赤のヴァラエタルワインです。
This is a red varietal wine made from 100% Petit Verdot by a producer called Vignobles Latorse.
日本では通常販売価格：7,260円（税込）と言われますが、現地のホームページで調べると1本8ユーロ＝約1,300円でした。まあ、そんなもんだとは思っていました。
The regular price in Japan is said to be 7,260 yen (tax included), but when I checked the local website, it was 8 euros per bottle, or about 1,300 yen. Well, I thought that was about right.
これを飲んだのは4月の終わりです。
I drank this at the end of April.
4月上旬に受験したワイン検定ブロンズクラスの認定カードとバッジが届きました。
I received the certificate card and badge for the bronze class wine certification exam I took in early April.
今年11月に開催されるシルバークラスの受験資格をゲットしたので、知識習得に弾みをつけたいです。
Now I’m eligible to take the silver class exam in November, so I’d like to get a boost in my knowledge.
ところで、このプティ・ヴェルドですが、メルローとかカベルネ・ソーヴィニョンにすこしアッサンブラージュするような脇役的な存在です。なので、私はこれを単一品種で飲むのは初めてになります。ラベルにもSINGULIERと書いてあります。多分、他には何も入ってませんよという意味でしょうか。飲むのが楽しみです。
By the way, this Petit Verdot is a supporting role that is lightly blended with Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon. So this is the first time I’ve drunk this as a single variety. The label also says SINGULIER. Maybe that means there’s nothing else in it. I’m looking forward to drinking it.
色はかなり濃い紫色です。
The color is a very dark purple.
香りはスパイシーな感じです。フルーツっぽさも少しあるのかなぁ。辛口で、フルボディなワインです。
The aroma is spicy. I wonder if it has a bit of a fruity flavor. It’s a fairly dry, full-bodied wine.
今日のメインディッシュもマカロニグラタンです。トマトソースにはフルボディの赤ワインがぴったり。
Today’s main dish is also macaroni gratin. A full-bodied red wine goes perfectly with tomato sauce.
