娘の結婚披露宴があるので、東京にやって来ました！
I came to Tokyo for my daughter’s wedding reception!
久しぶり？の高級ホテルです。
It’s been a while since I’ve been to this luxury hotel.
早速、ラウンジで一杯飲みました。
I immediately had a drink in the lounge.
庭園がキレイなので、散歩です。
The garden is beautiful, so I took a walk.
都会にあるとは思えないような光景です。
It’s a sight that you wouldn’t expect to see in the city.
小さな滝のような演出です。水のせせらぎが心地よいです。
It’s like a small waterfall. The murmuring of the water is soothing.
心が穏やかになる景色が続きます。
The scenery is so calming.

綺麗に整備されているので、木が多くても鬱陶しさが全くありません。
It’s beautifully maintained, so even though there are many trees, it doesn’t feel annoying at all.
川のせせらぎが聞こえてきます。

狭い空間に凝縮された日本の庭園でした。
It was a Japanese garden condensed into a small space.
ホテルの正面玄関に出てきました。
I came out to the front entrance of the hotel.
今日は、品川駅のecuteで買ったワインと総菜を部屋で食べます。
Today, I’m going to eat the wine and prepared food I bought at ecute at Shinagawa Station in my hotel room.
折角なので、ラウンジにも行きました！
Since I was there, I also went to the lounge!
ライトアップされた庭園がキレイです。
The lit-up garden is beautiful.
このあと、クレジットカードの明細から「光明」というラウンジで「月待ちセット」というのをオーダーしていたようですが、残念ながら写真も記憶もありません。
After this, according to my credit card statement, I ordered a “Tsukimachi Set” at a lounge called “Koumei”, but unfortunately I don’t have any photos or memories of it.
翌日はあいにくの雨で東京タワーも霞んでいました。
Unfortunately, it rained the next day, and Tokyo Tower was obscured by the rain.
人生初のモーニングです。
I wore a morning coat for the first time in my life.
披露宴のメニュー。美味しそう！

乾杯のシャンパーニュはLaurent Perrier La Cuvee BRUTです。このシャンパーニュは、白ブドウのChardonnayと黒ブドウのPinot Noirを使っています。アプリコットのような果実味があって、とても美味しいワインです。アメリカ駐在時に何度も飲みました。
The champagne for the toast was Laurent Perrier La Cuvee BRUT. This champagne is made with Chardonnay white grapes and Pinot Noir black grapes. It has a fruity apricot-like flavor and is a very delicious wine. I drank it many times when I was stationed in the United States.
この料理は人参のムースの上にコンソメのジュレと雲丹がのせてありますが、シャンパーニュととてもよく合います。この料理だけでシャンパーニュをグラスで4杯は飲みました。
This dish is carrot mousse topped with consommé jelly and sea urchin, which goes very well with champagne. I drank four glasses of champagne just from this dish.
マグロとホタテのタルタルです。この料理もシャンパーニュとすごく相性がいいです。
This was tuna and scallop tartare. This dish also goes very well with champagne.
この後マッシュルームのポタージュがでてきましたが、写真撮るのを忘れてました。
After this, mushroom potage was served, but I forgot to take a photo.
真鯛の料理です。
This was a red sea bream dish.
ワインは、リースリングにしました。ドイツのワインだったか？
The wine was Riesling. I think it was a German wine?
林檎のグラニテ。
Apple granita.
赤ワインはピノ・ノワールです。ミディアムボディの美味しいワインでした。
The red wine was Pinot Noir. It was a delicious medium-bodied wine.
メインディッシュです。ピノとの相性もバッチリでした。
This was the main dish. It went perfectly with the Pinot.
これはウェディングケーキか？

デザートは他にあった様な気がしますが、写真がありません。

久しぶりに充実した休日でした。
It was a fulfilling holiday for the first time in a while.
